Our goal is to help every child and family celebrate their pet's life and memory. Our website and children's book helps families navigate the difficult path of saying goodbye to a family pet, while honoring the special place that a cherished companion will always have in a child's heart. Parents and children everywhere will appreciate the simplicity of our message: that every "tail" has a story.

Our Story
Our three children grew up with Gus, our black labrador retriever. They experienced many wonderful memories and life milestones with him until he began to rapidly decline at the age of fifteen. We tried to explain to our young children what was happening to Gus, but how do you explain the loss of a best friend and life-long companion? Sometimes a great book can tell the story you can't!
Shortly after Gus died, I was sent a touching poem about the "Rainbow Bridge" that inspired me to share our family's story. I created A Rainbow Bridge for Gus: A Story About the Loss of a Pet to provide resources, comfort, and hope to families that have lost their beloved companion.
